My name is Marin Leong.
I’m a Junior/Senior in the Kinetic Imaging Department with a minor in Art History. My two most influential professors in my department are Nia Burks and Stephen Vitiello. Stephen will be acting as my mentor for an Undergraduate Research Grant I received in December.
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia and I studied visual art in high school at Appomattox Regional Governor’s school in Petersburg.
I have two cats.
Taking Basic Sculpture is an important step in emphasizing object-oriented structures and concepts in my work and bringing further consideration to the experiential/tactile qualities in addition to visual content.
